Alpha phase introduction Print E-mail

After a production process concept is chosen it’s time to produce in or near to specification products. This is done in the α-phase. The α-phase checks the chosen concept more in detail to see if it is industrial enough. Things that are checked are:

·                                 What is the small scale performance?

·                                 Which parameters are critical for the quality of the process?

·                                 What are the technical risks of the new process?

·                                 What are the estimated costs for implementing the new process?
