Risk plot Print E-mail

A risk plot is a simplified graphical representation of a (process) FMEA. The risk plot uses the same data as the FMEA except for detecting.

When to use

The Risk Plot can be used in all phases of the development.  From the orientation phase all the way through the mass production. Each phase has its own problems. No Risk Plot is the same.

The risk plot is used:

  • At the beginning or end of a development phase

Description

First of all a list is made of potential problems, these are graded on impact of the problem. After this the chance of occurrence is graded. These are put into a graph which shows you immediately what the main problems are.
