Statistic Process Control is used to see how well the process stays within its set boundaries. SPC uses control charts to make this more clear. Using these control chart a differentiation can be made between measurement deviations, events and failing processes.

When to use

Statistic Process Control is used in the mass production phase.

Statistic Process Control is used:

  • for monitoring different processes within one production line
  • differentiation between measurement deviations, events and failing processes

Description

Data is gathered at different point in the production process. This is data is put in graphs showing the boundaries, this gives directly a good view on the stability of the process. You can see what went wrong at a certain date/hour. By analysing the chart you can see what the problems are.
