TRIZ is Russian for  ‘Teoriya Resheniya Izobreatatelskikh Zadatch’, translated in English this is  ‘Theory of Inventive Problem Solving’. It is an systematical way to brainstorm. It gives a new, fresh view on problems.

When to use

TRIZ can be used an all phases of the project. It’s the ideal tool to solve difficult problems.

TRIZ is used:

  • in a brainstorm session when dealing with difficult problems
  • technical problems

Description 

100.000 patents are investigated to see what corresponds. The outcome was that there are 40 basic principles in which all patents can be classified.
