Multi Criteria table Print E-mail

The Multi Criteria table gives an insight in which of the alternatives, that are thought up in the brainstorm, has the biggest chance to succeed. This is done without testing each alternative. The biggest advantage is that much less tests need to be performed and each alternative is looked at schematically and fair-minded.

When to use

This is a useful tool that can be used throughout the entire project.

Multi Criteria table is used when:

  • a choice has to be made between a number of choices, this can be used throughout the entire organisation

Description

The alternatives are noted in the first column, the first row the different criteria are noted eg. cost prize, lifespan, quality, etc. Each criteria has its own weight, this is done to because some criteria’s are more important than others. The weight is multiplied with the score the alternative got at a certain criteria. These are all added and the total states which alternative most probably gives the best result.
